Bio
Roger’s athletic journey began with soccer, where he played at the collegiate level. After stepping away from competitive sports to focus on academics, he found his passion for endurance sports and was instantly hooked. In 2008 and 2009, Roger competed in short-course triathlons, but a demanding academic schedule put his training on hold. He returned to the sport in 2016 with a clear goal—qualifying for the Ironman World Championships in Kona. In his debut 70.3 race, Roger qualified for the 70.3 World Championships in South Africa. Over the last 8 years, with the guidance of his own coach, he continuously improved his race times, leading to his ultimate qualification for Kona in 2024.
Roger believes that coaching is a partnership designed to help athletes grow and succeed. He takes a progressive approach, creating programs based on each athlete’s goals, ensuring long-term success and avoiding burnout. With a background in rehabilitation sciences, Roger’s coaching is rooted in the latest sports science, allowing him to work with all types of athletes, including those recovering from injury. His coaching plans emphasize strength and mobility, keeping athletes healthy and prepared for peak performance.
